About Dianna

Dianna Li is an Australian trained Neurosurgeon fluent in English and Mandarin. She completed medical school at Melbourne University in 2008 before relocating to NSW for residency. Concurrent to early clinical practice she completed a Masters of Surgery at Sydney University, majoring in whole body anatomical dissection.
She was ranked first in the binational neurosurgery training program selections, and received the Gordon Taylor Medal for achieving the highest score in the General Surgical Specialty Exams in Australasia. She completed neurosurgical training at RPA, Prince of Wales, Sydney Children’s, Liverpool, Wollongong, Westmead Adult and Children’s, and St George Hospitals.

She was awarded her Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2021, and travelled to Canada to complete further subspecialty training in neuro-oncology, skull base, and endoscopic surgery at the University of Toronto (Toronto Western Hospital). She now manages surgical conditions affecting the brain, spine, and peripheral nerves at St George Public and Private hospitals, servicing patients from the south of Sydney and beyond.

A collaborative approach to neurosurgery

Dianna manages various disorders of the brain, spine, and peripheral nerve, with a special interest in brain tumours, awake craniotomy, and endoscopic skull base surgery.   She collaborates closely with oncology, endocrinology, and ENT services to ensure delivery of best multidisciplinary care for her patients.
